I create large-scale contemporary watercolour paintings that move between figuration and abstraction.

The work often begins with a human presence — a face, a figure, a musician, a passer-by — before opening into atmospheric fields of water, pigment and light. Forms are softened, interrupted and reasserted, allowing emotion and mood to carry the image as much as representation.

My paintings explore solitude, memory, rain, music and suspended time. I am interested in moments that feel intimate but unresolved: a figure beneath an umbrella, a person seated alone, a face turned toward something unseen. These subjects become anchors within shifting environments of wash, gesture and colour.

I work primarily wet-on-wet, using layered washes, lifted passages and restrained accents to create luminosity and tension. The process balances intention with chance, allowing water and pigment to shape the final image.

Each piece is made on stretched watercolour paper and presented in a floating frame, creating a finished object that is ready to hang in homes, hotels, restaurants, bars and contemporary interiors.
