Resonance

With the player’s face outside the composition, the connection between hand, bow and string becomes the subject. Turquoise washes follow the cello’s rounded body, crossed by the long horizontal line of the bow. Dark strokes and open paper give the instrument weight, while the close framing brings us within reach of the musician’s gestures.

Original watercolour on professional-grade paper, stretched over a wooden support and protected with layers of GOLDEN Archival Varnish with UV protection. Presented without glass in a handmade black floating frame. The painting measures 60 × 90 cm; overall framed dimensions are 60 × 90 × 3.3 cm. Supplied ready to hang with fittings attached.
